There is just something so comforting about pasta dishes. Those scrumptious carbs fill your tummy, all the while tasting so delicious going down. In our house, we only eat pasta about once a week. But there is almost always an extra box of angel hair pasta in my pantry, because I know my husband will dig it out and make it on the weekend. Butter, garlic and paresan cheese tossed into the pasta satisfy his taste buds, and it is the one quick dish he can cook up himself.
Maybe someday he will venture out and concoct a special recipe of his own, like the one I am going to tell you about. Guys can be such great cooks! Dad’s Friday Night Pasta Dish is proof.
When I saw this recipe, I just had to make it! Oh, angel hair pasta? The Hubby loves that! Mozzarella cheese? We love cheese. Red peppers? Another favorite. The list goes on! There are so many goodies in this dish. There are a few ingredients you may not have on hand, like sundried tomatoes, kalamata olives and pickled pepperoncinis. But if you pick them up now, they should last you for quite a few more batches of this wonderful pasta.
