The Bath House

Yep, it’s been years. Kids’ll do that to you! We are going on 9 years of marriage over here, 3 beautiful kids, an out of state move, and now here we are.

Life has taken all kinds of twists and turns, but there’s one thing that I’ll always come back to: my love for writing, cooking & homemaking. So to make a very long 3 year story short, we have finally bought our first home in the great state of Maine, and are happily settling in.

I thought it might be a good idea to blog about our new home, nestled along the coast in historical Bath, Maine. How did we land here? Only God knows about that, but I’m so glad we ended up where we are.

Our new home is not grand, or huge, or spectacular, but it is OUR home, and we love it. Right before moving in, we had our super skilled family contractors come in and help us install vinyl flooring in the upstairs bedrooms and paint the walls. While I unfortunately can’t find the “before” photos, here are the “after” results the night before moving in!

We have so many plans for our new house, but this was where we wanted to start. The building is only 19 years old, but the rooms were carpeted in this bright blue color, and very well worn. Tearing them out and laying vinyl was the best decision for us, and it feels nice to start new and fresh in those rooms!

I hope to blog some more about our “Bath House” and the many projects we plan to do over the years! It’s so exciting owning your own home and dreaming about all you want to accomplish in the days ahead.

Thanks for reading, and hang tight for more home owner stories coming soon!
